Color, movement and texture are my muse. My professional career started by sponge painting murals on walls for anyone who would let me. For a period of time, I switched my focus from paint to fiber. This enabled me to hold the colors in my hands and mold the projects creating one of a kind creations. I returned to my passion for painting in the last few years. Keeping my work on an easel and canvas. I love experimenting with mixed media. I want my pieces to be approachable and touchable. Painting brings me joy and I hope my work reflects my happy.

I was originally inspired by my grandfather, Sol Cohen. He was always sketching. We could be in a restaurant and he would be drawing on tablecloths and napkins. He could not help himself. I have inherited the same bug. One of my earliest childhood memories is standing in front of my grandfather’s easel drawing with him and his pastels. The vibrant colors captured me and I have been hooked ever since.

My best art lesson- “There are no rules in art” I like to keep my work fun, thought provoking and full of a few surprises.
